The idea behind conducting a 12-product survey is to let people tell you what they want to buy.

You will find that you cannot guess which of the 12 products will win a 12-product survey.  Almost always, there will be one or two products that get zero votes, or only a couple.

If you were trying to sell THOSE products, you would have a difficult time ahead of you.  By conducting a 12-product survey, you can put the odds in your favor, and avoid wasting your time trying to sell a dead duck that won't quack no matter how you dress it up, promote it or sell it.

Professional research companies pay people $10 to $50 to take surveys.  You can do the same.

If you have a product you can give away free, this will often be enough incentive.

c.  Attend group meetings

The easiest way to conduct a survey is to attend a meeting where prospective customers are.  Meet people and ask them to take your survey on the spot.

Here are several methods of getting people to take your survey:

a. Email your opt-in list if you have one.

The easiest way to conduct a survey is to email your list if you have one.

If you don't have a list, then perhaps you have a friend with a list who will send out your survey for you.

b.  Attend meetings and conduct the survey in person

This is the fastest and simplest way to conduct your survey.  If there are groups, associations or meetings where your prospective customers hook up, then this is a great place to recruit survey takers.

c. Post the survey in online forums

This is not the easiest way.  You will have to pay people to take your survey.  It's normally difficult to get more than 10 takers with this method.  But if you offer more cash or an attractive incentive, it's possible.

d.  Conduct solo ezine mailings

If your target audience reads ezines, see if you can buy "solo ezine mailings" where your survey is emailed to the readers of the ezines.

You can find sources for ezines by going to any search engine and typing in "ezine directories."
