Split Testing Action: Split test your sales letters You do NOT know the answer unless and until you split test. Everything I teach is subject to split testing. What is split testing? That is when you send an equal number of visitors to one page vs. another page. How do you do this? With a split testing script or software that does it for you. Split testing software is relatively new. So I can't make a definitive recommendation yet. The software I've been using is a program I had custom written. But more recently, canned programs have come out. Below are a few of the available options. I'm sure you'll see more and more come out on the market. As always, you can hunt down the latest stuff by going to google.com or overture.com and typing in "split testing." Sometimes I prefer to do searches on OVERTURE.COM since people pay to be listed in the search results (pay-per-click). If you click on their link, they have to pay. That means they likely have put considerable effort into developing a product that sells and a good web site. I've found that some of the split testing scripts are not very user friendly because they require you to edit a config file. Others have a simple-to-use web-based admin.
The unique thing about the proanalyzer script is that it works based on the clicks on the ad tracking link. So it's perfect for split testing your ezine and pay-per-click ads.
